Anglican Archbishop Geoffrey Sambell claims the title of founder of Anglicare WA. It took many years of intense lobbying from the man, but his efforts all paid off in 1976 when the organisation became Western Australia’s newest charitable organisation.

It was created to serve Western Australian individuals, families, and its communities. They are the welfare and justice arm of the Anglican church providing health services along with their charitable efforts in the greater Perth region.

Relationship counselling, disability support services, financial assistance, mental health services, and homelessness are just a few of the many noble causes Anglicare WA supports.

Funding these services isn’t easy. Which is where you clothing donation, or others goods you’re donating, comes into play. They operate a number of op shops around Perth, with more continuing to open, where they sell donated clothes and use the proceeds to fund their programs.

Although Anglicare WA is solely based in WA, doesn’t mean they’re the only organisation who operating clothing donation bins. There are plenty out there – just visit the menu and select your city to see them all.
