New year, clear space: a room-by-room decluttering guide
Start 2026 with less clutter and more purpose. Our practical room-by-room guide helps you declutter and donate items to charity bins near you.
You'll find this Lifeline op shop tucked away on Main Street in Atherton, just off Reddens Lane. It's one of the busier charity shops on the Tablelands, drawing both locals and visitors passing through this highland town. The shop takes in donated clothing, furniture, books, and household goods, with stock changing regularly as new items come in. Atherton's cooler climate means you'll often spot warmer clothing here that you won't find in coastal shops. Proceeds from sales help fund Lifeline's 13 11 14 phone line, a free service for anyone going through a tough time. The volunteers know their regulars and are happy to set aside items or call you if something specific comes in. Drop off donations during business hours or give them a ring to arrange pickup for bulky furniture.
